Meet the Team
Perfect Mavimbela, OT
Perfect is the Director and Paediatric Occupational Therapist at STEPS & STRIDES Occupational Therapy. He qualified from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa with a Bachelor’s degree (with Honours) and trained in Sensory Integration through Sensory Integration Education (SIE) through Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. Perfect brings valuable experience from both private practice and school-based settings (mainstream, specialist and post-16 education), supporting children and young people with sensory, motor and emotional regulation needs.
Perfect is fascinated by the DIR® Floortime approach and has completed the DIR® 101 course through the ICDL, currently working towards the 201 certification.
He is passionate about client-centred, strengths-based therapy and works closely with families, schools and other professionals or organisations to help children and young people thrive in everyday life.
Pracheta Patel, OTA
Pracheta Patel is a qualified Occupational Therapist with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, specialising in neurological conditions, obtained in India. She is currently working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant while awaiting HCPC registration, and brings over five years of professional experience supporting children and adults within neurological rehabilitation across both hospital and educational settings.
Pracheta utilises a range of evidence-based approaches, including Rood’s Approach, Oral Placement Therapy and Sensory Integration. She is passionate about empowering families and promoting independence, working collaboratively with schools, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support individuals in thriving in their everyday lives.
